DECEMBER 2007
600 Hampers were given out to flood victims
On 25th June 2007 Hull was hit by the summer floods which saw 24,000 homes in and around Hull affected and one man die trapped in a drain. As a church we have decided to love dangerously and reach out to our community with lots of free events and gifts.
JANUARY 2008
We performed our latest production "Showstoppers" for 2 nights running with hotdogs and fireworks which followed.
FEBRUARY 2008
We put on a pamper for the ladies with free treatments and lunch. We also put on a free Valentines meal for a selection of couples known to have flooded.
MARCH 2008
We put on a free family fun day with food, refreshments, games, prizes, bouncy castle, face paints plus free family portraits.
MAY 2008
LORD MAYOR'S PARADE
We took part in the Lord Mayor's Parade in Hull and instead of collecting money for charity like the other floats we gave out sweets and invites to more free events!
THE GREAT PLANT GIVEAWAY!
We were approached by Driffield Churches Together to help them distribute plants they had grown for people who lost their gardens during the floods so we turned New Life Car Park into a garden centre!
